Survey Crew leaves Bismarck on Monday and returns Thursday.

This is a temporary position with no paid benefits.

All internships are paid full-time summer of 2026 positions.

Summary of Work
Assist the preliminary field survey crew with data collection. Some of the duties include; GPS operation, recover recorded monuments and appropriate documentation needed for boundary surveys, set aerial panels, utility surveys, topographic surveys, and alignment surveys. This position not only provides real life job experience, but also provides learning how the NDDOT field surveys are conducted. The Preliminary survey crew leaves Bismarck on Monday and returns on Thursday.

Minimum Qualifications
• Must be enrolled in an engineering technology or civil/construction engineering undergraduate degree program.
• Requires ability to lift and carry a total weight of up to 50 pounds.
• Possession of a valid Class D drivers License for travel within the state of North Dakota.

Requires satisfactory completion of the interview process and successful completion of a job function screening.
