NDDOT Starting Salary: $4,370 / month
Order Parts and Supplies for Shop, and Sections
In this role you will identify parts and supplies needed, obtain prices, check availability, check quality, communicate with suppliers, conduct follow-up on incomplete orders and damaged goods, issue and prepare purchase orders, approve invoices for payment, shipping and receiving of parts and supplies, and recommend or give advice on purchase of shop supplies/equipment.
Maintain Accurate Inventory
This role requires you to maintain accurate inventory of equipment/vehicle parts and shop supplies, make recommendations for increased/decreased inventory levels, issue parts and supplies to mechanics and equipment operators, monitor section inventories, conduct physical counts as scheduled, and compare physical counts with PERMAC counts to assure agreement.
Maintain Equipment and Vehicle Records
In this role you will maintain filing records of EMS data forms, petroleum tickets, fill out transportation data forms on all new equipment, take shop equipment inventory, keep record of shop equipment, input EMS maintenance data, input EMS equipment parts data, maintain record of fire extinguishers; receive bids for annual contract, and maintain record of radio communication inventory.
Assist Acting Shop Foreman
This role includes having to delegate vehicle/equipment repair requests to mechanics, research history of equipment/vehicles for which service/maintenance is requested, and open work orders and record parts used.
State Fleet Motor Pool
Administrator for the District State Fleet Motor Pool. Responsibilities include taking reservations from various agencies within the area for the vehicles, coordinating preventative maintenance services and care and cleaning of all pool vehicles. This duty requires customer service/communication skills both in person and on the telephone.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a high school diploma or GED and four years of storeroom, procurement/purchasing or warehouse related work experience.
Requires possession of a valid Class D operator’s license.
Must have physical mobility compatibility with warehouse setting.
Ability to lift and carry several items up to 50 pounds.
Employment of the selected candidate will be contingent on satisfactorily completing the interview process, reference check, medical screening, and a criminal history record check.
