NDDOT Hiring Salary: $6,419 / month

This position is essential for the division to provide a smoothly functioning operation that provides direct services from 60 examiners, 8 supervisors, 8 full time sites, and 11 part time sites across the state, through direct action, control, coordination, and engagement with all areas; as well as provide training for all staff to ensure skills and knowledge are at the highest level.

Plan, organize, staff and train personnel on all examiner and work-related safety items; maintain prompt reporting of disciplinary matters and maintenance of proper work conduct and morale among licensing examiner personnel.
Direct and coordinate activities to maintain an effective driver’s license program throughout the state.
Develop and maintain records, statistical summaries, performance measurement and data in regards to examiner performance, staffing and qualification.
Act in place of the Chief Examiner, as needed.
Ensure compliance with the Commercial Drivers License Act of 1986, the Motor Carrier Safety Improvement Act of 1999, the USA PATRIOT Act, enhanced Identification requirements stemming from September 11, 2001, the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative, REAL ID, and other federal initiatives.
Perform supervisor duties in the absence of a supervisor.
Manage supply inventory; maintain equipment inventories relative to testing and licensing equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires ten years of work experience in high-level administrative support duties that included participation in the development or modification of major projects or procedures.
Work experience must reflect an ability to conduct research, provide an analysis and interpretation of information and prepare formal reports.
College-level course work in business administration, computer information systems, or related fields with course work reflecting the required abilities may be substituted for the required work experience on a year-for-year basis.
Requires satisfactory completion of the interview process and a verifiable record of satisfactory performance in previous employment. Employment is contingent upon the results of a criminal background check.
